This page explains what information this website uses, and what it does not.
What we do not do
- We do not use advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
- We do not require an account, and we do not sell or share personal information.
Information stored in your browser
The first-day checklist and the practice goals on lesson pages save your ticks in your browser’s local storage, on your device only. They are never sent to us. You can clear them with the page’s reset button or by clearing your browser’s site data.
The snowboard fit profile on the snowboard size page is processed in your browser and is not sent to us when JavaScript is available. If JavaScript is turned off, the form is submitted to our server to show your result; we do not store the values.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, we store your name, email address, topic and message so we can read and, where needed, reply to it. To limit spam, we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for up to one hour. We use your details only to deal with your message.
Server logs
Like most websites, our web server keeps technical logs of requests, including IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These are used to keep the site secure and working, and are deleted on a rolling basis.
External links
Some guides link to other websites, such as equipment makers and snowsport organizations. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
