• Equipment setup, fit and care that goes beyond what our current guides cover.
• Board maintenance and repair methods, with clear safety guidance.
• Practical trip planning: getting to the mountain, lessons, rentals and traveling with gear.
• Helping children and friends get started safely.

Before you pitch, search the guide index. We won’t publish a new article on a question an existing guide already answers, but we are happy to hear how an existing guide could be improved.

What we don’t accept

• Content copied, spun or rewritten from other sources, or already published elsewhere.
• Promotional articles, product roundups written to sell, casino, betting, crypto or other off-topic content.
• Articles that exist mainly to carry links.
• Unsupported claims, invented statistics or advice that encourages unsafe riding.
• Bulk or automated pitches. Spam is deleted without a reply.

Quality and originality standards

• Original and first-hand: write from your own knowledge and experience. If you used AI or writing tools, tell us how.
• Accurate and sourced: link to primary sources, such as manufacturers’ manuals or snowsport organizations, for facts, figures and rules. Date anything that changes, such as prices.
• Safe: recommend qualified instruction where appropriate and never imply that reading replaces lessons.
• Useful and clear: answer one question completely, in plain English, without padding.
• Honest about who you are: tell us about any relevant qualification. We will verify it before mentioning it on the page.

Editorial review

Every accepted article is edited to match our style, fact-checked against its sources and may be shortened, restructured or retitled. We may ask you for changes or evidence. You will see the edited version before it is published. We decide whether and when an article is published, and publication is not guaranteed, even after an article has been accepted for editing.

Links and commercial submissions

• We don’t sell links or publish paid guest posts.
• Links are included only where they help readers, such as a source for a fact. We choose the links and may change, remove or tag them as nofollow or sponsored.
• If you work for, are paid by or receive products from a company related to your article, you must tell us when you pitch. If we publish the article, that relationship will be disclosed on the page.
• We don’t offer payment for contributions.

How to pitch

1. Check the guide index to make sure the topic is new or suggest an improvement to an existing guide.
2. Send a short pitch through our contact form with the subject already filled in. Include a working title, the question your article answers, a brief outline, the sources you would use and a sentence about your experience.
3. Please don’t send a full article or attachments at this stage.

We read every pitch but can’t reply to all of them. If we would like to go ahead, we’ll reply to the email address you provide with next steps. By submitting a pitch you confirm it is your own original work.
