How should snowboard goggles fit?

The foam should seal evenly against your face without pressing hard on your nose, and the frame should meet your helmet brim without a gap of bare forehead. Always try them on with your helmet.

Can I snowboard with glasses?

Yes. OTG goggles fit over glasses, some goggles accept prescription inserts, and contact lenses let you wear any goggles. Try OTG goggles with your own glasses before buying.

What lens is best for flat light?

A lighter, higher-VLT lens. Anon puts S1 lenses at 43–80% VLT for dull, overcast days, while darker S3 lenses suit bright sun.

Are spherical goggle lenses worth it?

They can be. REI says spherical lenses curve both ways, giving better peripheral vision with less distortion and glare than cylindrical (flat) lenses, which cost less and work fine. If you want the widest view with the least glare, spherical is worth considering.

Do snowboard goggles protect against UV?

Almost all do. REI says virtually all goggles sold today block UVA, UVB and UVC. Check the product specs to be sure, and wear them on cloudy days too, since UV reflects off snow.

How tight should goggle straps be?

Tight enough that the foam seals and the goggles stay put, but not so tight that they press on your nose or give you a headache.

Do goggle straps go over or under the helmet?

Over. The strap wraps around the outside of the helmet, usually held by a clip at the back, with the frame sitting just below the brim.
